The preparation of a tax return with missing information or from fraudulent figures is interpreted by the IRS and how to navigate the notices received by the IRS while assisting the client affected by the potential misappropriation of funds. I used a case (redacted all information pertaining to the client) to show how the assistance of a forensic accountant/fraud examiner is useful to prosecution or defense
of an accused. We are neutral in our services rendered and rely on the third-party documents provided and testify if necessary to the figures calculated.
