The Quarter 1, 2025, Washington State sales tax rate changes are now available.

On January 1, 2025, the sales tax rate lookup tool, including the map and latitude/longitude search, will include the following changes:

  • Sales and use tax within the City of Burlington will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Covington will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Dupont will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Gig Harbor will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for transportation services, fire protection, and public safety.
  • Sales and use tax within Kittitas County will increase two-tenths (.002) of one percent for emergency communication systems and facilities.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of La Conner will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Maple Valley will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Pullman will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for transportation services.
  • Sales and use tax within the City of Snoqualmie will increase one-tenth (.001) of one percent for fire protection and public safety.
  • For sales and use tax within certain areas of Tumwater, new location codes have been created.
  • Thurston County established a Special Hotel/Motel tax of two (.02) percent for all lodging businesses, except for location codes within Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater since Special Hotel/Motel tax is already imposed.
  • The Tourism Promotion Area (TPA) lodging charge for the City of Walla Walla will increase to three ($3) dollars per unit per night of stay for lodging businesses with 40 or more units.
